MG Motor India reported on Wednesday that it had 3,021 retail sales of its sports utility vehicle Hector. MG Automotive India said in a statement that the carmaker’s total sales record since the start of car delivery in India in July was 15,930.
“As a new entrant into the Indian market, the strong sales momentum of our first product, Hector, is encouraging. We are working closely with our global and local suppliers to increase Hector’s production in 2020 to support the backlog of pre-orders.” Rakesh Sidana, director of MG Automotive India Sales, said.
The company said that the second latest electric Cars MG ZS will go on sale in the country starting this month.
Sidana also said that the company will continue to evaluate the emerging demand for MG Hector in India’s emerging markets based on its focus on customer satisfaction, and will actively establish more service centers closer to potential customers.
MG Motor India said that Indian Motors currently has more than 150 centers in India and plans to further expand its network to 250 centers by March 2020.
