To support future mobility solutions, MG Motor India announced the launch of the MG Developer Program and Grant. The company works with leading technology companies such as SAP, Cognizant, Adobe, Airtel, TomTom and Unlimit. It said the plan aims to inspire innovators and developers in India to build future mobile applications and experiences.
With the support of the MG Developer Program and Grant, MG Motor India will provide innovators with an opportunity to receive guidance and funding from industry leaders. The selected ideas will receive specialized senior guidance and networking opportunities to assist in the actual development of solutions, business planning and modeling, test facilities, and marketing strategies.
Award-winning ideas will also receive grants, the amount of which will be determined by the jury according to the specific circumstances.

The MG Developer Program and Grant will initially focus on driving innovation in the following areas: latest electric cars and components, batteries and management, charging infrastructure, connected mobility, voice recognition, AI and ML, navigation technology, customer experience, car buying experience, and autonomous driving car.
The plan will provide grants ranging from 500,000 rupees to 2.5 million rupees. The program is open to external developers including students, innovators, inventors, startups and other technology companies, as well as the internal employee team of MG Motor and its program partners.
Recently, CEAT launched Excellerator, a competition aimed at identifying and cooperating with upcoming SUV cars. The competition is expected to identify entrepreneurs who are addressing the huge market opportunities in the mobility business of the new era and may work closely with CEAT. These new era mobility services include connected vehicles, shared mobility services and fleet management / logistics services.
